Grant Michael Edens was born on January 23, 2009 at 7:53 am. Grant was born at 6 lbs 6 oz and 19 inches long. The delivery could not have gone any better. Grant had to go to a transition unit for a short period of time to make sure that his lungs were working properly and to make sure his temperature was regulating.
Grant and I were able to go home after only 3 days. I had an overwhelming happy feeling when I got home. After four weeks in the hospital and 6 weeks at home on bedrest we are SO GLAD to be at home. Parker is very glad to have his Mom back even if I still am not 100 %.
Our family was blessed to have Danna with us during the entire time of my bed rest to help take care of Parker, the house and the dog. Danna has really done a great job and we could not have done this without her.
Grant is doing great at home except that he and Parker both have a cold right now. Parker is a sweet big brother!

Family Vacation
We just got back from our family vacation in PCB, Florida. We all had a great time. Parker seemed to enjoy the sand a lot more than last year because he was rolling in the sand. We took Parker to Shell Island (not a lot of shells but a beautiful little area).
After getting home from vacation, I surprised Scott with a new screened porch. Scott was in a state of shock and has not come into the house in a couple of days now. We will be watching A LOT of football outside on the porch this season.

Parker the big boy!
Parker recently turned three! We are still working on potty training. Parker is not really interested in doing #2 on the potty at all. I told him that when he turns 3 we wont be able to buy pull ups anymore because Kroger will not sell them to 3 year olds. So, Parker just said that we would go to Walmart instead. (He is too darn smart!)
Parker starts school on September 2 at the First Baptist Church on the square. He really likes going to school and being with his friends. He is growing up so fast!
Parker wants the baby to be a girl. He has started talking to the baby through my belly and gives it kisses in the morning. Parker is such a sweet and kind hearted child. (He must get that from his Mommy. J/K)
